Bird-watching is a popular pastime in this part of the world. More so in the winters when around two dozen species appear in Ohio alone. Putting their preferred food in the feeders can allow you to catch a glimpse of the various types of winter feathered friends from the comfort of your home.
The small winter birds of the state are the American goldfinch, red-bellied woodpecker, house finch, tufted titmouse, dark-eyed junco, and white-breasted nuthatch. There are bigger birds too residing in the state during the cold season.
