Andorra is well-known for its birds, with BirdLife International declaring the nation an Important Bird Area (IBA). The forests and mountains support many avian species, including rare ones like citril finches, red-billed choughs, and rock buntings.
Most travelers visiting Andorra from May to June will see a lot of birds, especially if they decide to hike on one of the several bird trails in the country.
The Bearded Vulture, or the Lammergeier, is the national bird of Andorra. Sadly, its population has been falling in the country for a while.
