Birds of Thailand

Thailand is home to over 1000 species of birds. These include birds of prey like the Crested Serpent Eagle and the White-bellied Sea Eagle, waterbirds like the Asian Openbill and the White-throated Kingfisher, and really small birds like the Asian Fairy Bluebird and the Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker.

The national bird of Thailand is the Siamese Fireback, the male of which is known for its beautiful plumage.
