Birds of Utah

Utah has over 450 recorded bird species accepted by the Utah Bird Records Committee or UBRC. One may spot birds throughout the state, with special mention to the southwestern part, having some major birding sites like the Tonaquint Nature Center and Zion National Park.

The California gull has been Utah’s state bird since 1955.
