Black Birds With Blue Heads

Several black-colored birds have blue heads, including blackbirds, grackles, and starlings. The blue color of their feathers is a structural color that isn’t produced by the birds naturally. Instead, the heads of these birds appear blue when light falls on them, thanks to the Tyndall effect.
