Frogs in Alabama

Alabama is home to 32 species of frogs. As a matter of fact, the state is home to the second largest number of frogs in the United States after Virginia. Some of the frogs in Alabama are the green tree frog, the American bullfrog, and the eastern spadefoot toad.

The only poisonous frog in Alabama is the pickerel frog.
